'Rain' is a painting by the Rostov-on-Don artist Dmitry Syrov (b. 1970), a self-taught painter who came to art in the second half of the 1990s. The atmospheric motif of rain is treated in the expressive manner typical of the artist, with generalized forms, dense texture and open colour. The work continues his interest in landscape and the mood of everyday surroundings.
