Terms of participation
1. General 1.1. The sale is held by Don Foundation online on the website donfoundation.com. Start – 8 November 2026, 17:00 Moscow time. 1.2. The sale has 401 lots – porcelain figurines from Soviet factories. The sale catalogue with the description, photographs and details of every lot opens to a participant once their application is approved. 1.3. Taking part in the sale is free. The buyer pays only for the lots they win and for their delivery. There are no other fees or commissions. 2. How to become a participant 2.1. Submit an application on the sale page: give your name and email; a phone number is optional. You do not need to register on the site. 2.2. Confirming your email address is optional. The link in our email is only there to make sure the notice of approval reaches you; it does not affect your participation in the sale. 2.3. The organiser reviews each application. The organiser may decline an application without giving reasons. 2.4. Once your application is approved, you will receive an email with a personal link to the auction room: it opens the lot catalogue and bidding. The link works from any device. It must not be passed on to others: bids made through it count as the participant’s bids. 2.5. Applications are accepted until the sale starts. 2.6. Until an application is approved, the lots are not shown on the site: the sale page shows the date, the terms and the number of lots. 3. Bids 3.1. The starting price of every lot is 1 ₽. There is no reserve (minimum) price: a lot goes to the participant with the highest bid. 3.2. The bid step depends on the current price of the lot: up to 10 000 ₽ – 500 ₽; from 10 000 to 50 000 ₽ – 1 000 ₽; from 50 000 to 100 000 ₽ – 5 000 ₽; from 100 000 to 500 000 ₽ – 10 000 ₽; from 500 000 ₽ to 1 000 000 ₽ – 25 000 ₽; from 1 000 000 ₽ – 50 000 ₽. 3.3. The first bid on a lot equals the starting price; each next bid is at least the current price plus the step. You can also bid your own amount – any amount not lower than the minimum. 3.4. Once your application is approved, you can place an advance bid before the sale starts. It immediately becomes the current price of the lot. It is a fixed amount, not a ceiling: if it is outbid, you need to raise it yourself. 3.5. A bid obliges the participant to buy the lot if it turns out to be the highest. 3.6. The organiser may cancel a clearly mistaken bid. 4. Course of the sale 4.1. The lots are offered one by one. After each bid the lot stays open for 30 seconds, then the countdown runs and the hammer falls. A new bid extends the time again, so bidding is not cut off at the last second. 4.2. The organiser may close a lot early, withdraw a lot from the sale or change the order of the lots. 4.3. The result of each lot is shown on the sale page straight away. A lot is sold to the participant whose bid was the highest when the hammer fell. 5. Payment and delivery 5.1. After the sale the winner will receive an email with the results and the link “Give the delivery address”. All the lots won are sent in one parcel. 5.2. The organiser issues one invoice: the price of the lots won and the cost of delivery. You can pay by invoice, by QR code or by payment link. 5.3. The invoice must be paid within 10 calendar days. If the invoice is not paid on time, the organiser may cancel the sale and offer the lot to another participant. 5.4. The lots are packed, insured and handed over to a delivery service (mainly CDEK). Delivery is paid by the buyer. 5.5. When you receive the parcel, film and photograph its opening. If an item is damaged, write to the manager at contact@donfoundation.com straight away and attach the footage. The manager will contact you within 1–2 working days. 5.6. You can cancel the purchase until the lot is handed over to the delivery service. The money is refunded less 5%. 6. Condition of the lots 6.1. The details of the lots (factory, author of the model, year, condition) are given according to the organiser’s information and the markings on the items, where these are known. The items are sold in the condition in which they are described and shown in the photographs. Questions about a lot can be asked before the sale. 7. Other 7.1. By submitting an application, the participant accepts these terms and consents to the processing of personal data. 7.2. In the event of technical failures, the organiser may pause the sale, postpone it or repeat the bidding on individual lots. Participants will learn about this on the sale page and by email.

How the auction works

Don Foundation holds its own auctions online, here on the foundation’s website. Taking part is free.

  1. Submit a request on the auction page – your name and email are enough, no account is needed.
  2. Once the request is approved, bidding opens for you: before the sale starts you can leave advance bids.
  3. During the sale the lots go one by one. Bid one step above the current price or enter your own amount.
  4. A lot goes to the highest bidder. If a lot has a reserve price – the minimum selling price – the bid must reach it, otherwise the lot stays unsold.
  5. The winner receives an email to give the delivery address and pay the invoice.

Step by step – in the guide “How to take part in the auction”.

What is offered

The sales include paintings, graphics, sculpture and porcelain and decorative art. Works from the foundation’s collection can also be bought at the catalogue price, without bidding.

Auction or a fixed price
