The title piece of the "Dante and Virgil" series, drawn from Dante's "Divine Comedy". Its subject is the poet Dante and his guide Virgil, companions on the journey through the afterlife. The canvas combines acrylic, marker and aerosol paint, carrying the language of street art onto an easel format. The work is by the Rostov-on-Don art group SITO, which emerged in the early 2010s.
