A work from the "Dante and Virgil" series. The motif of ascent echoes the upward movement of the "Divine Comedy" – the climb from the lower circles toward the higher spheres, a theme of purification and passage. Like the other works in the series, it is executed on canvas in acrylic, marker and aerosol paint, where the easel form meets the language of street art. The work is by the Rostov-on-Don art group SITO.
