About the artist

One of the most recognizable Russian graphic artists and painters. Born in Sevastopol, he studied at the Moscow Aviation Institute — which echoes in his love of machinery: aeroplanes, ships, airships and tanks populate his sheets. He works mostly in monochrome, in acrylic on canvas and paper, in large series, with irony and a faint apocalyptic note. A long-standing artist of the Krokin Gallery, where his solo shows are held regularly. His works are in the Tretyakov Gallery and MMOMA. The foundation’s catalogue holds three works.
