A collaborative work by two striking artists. Ter-Oganyan, a native of Rostov-on-Don, founded the “V Tryokhprudnom” gallery and is a key figure of Moscow actionism; after his 1998 action he was forced to emigrate and lives in Berlin. Cherkasskaya, an Israeli artist from Kyiv, is a member of the “New Barbizon” group, known for her socially charged figurative painting about Soviet emigration. Their joint works combine irony, political sharpness and the play of quotation.
