About the artist

A collaborative work by two striking artists. Ter-Oganyan, a native of Rostov-on-Don, founded the “V Tryokhprudnom” gallery and is a key figure of Moscow actionism; after his 1998 action he was forced to emigrate and lives in Berlin. Cherkasskaya, an Israeli artist from Kyiv, is a member of the “New Barbizon” group, known for her socially charged figurative painting about Soviet emigration. Their joint works combine irony, political sharpness and the play of quotation. The foundation’s catalogue holds one work.
