The work belongs to Ustinov's early period and to the circle of the “Toad and Devil” group, which addressed a critique of consumerism through trash-and-lubok means. A provocative slogan marked with a trademark sign (™) appropriates the language of advertising and branding, exposing the mechanics of commercial speech. The mixed media on cardboard matches the deliberately “low,” handmade aesthetic of that circle.
