“Line of Fire” belongs to Ustinov's early Rostov-on-Don period, connected with the art group “Toad and Devil” (2006–2011). One of the group's exhibitions of those years bore the same title; the group worked in a trash-and-lubok idiom and criticized consumer society. The sheet is executed on cardboard in mixed media characteristic of the circle's handmade imagery.
