"Sleepwalking" is a sheet from Sebastian Krüger's editioned prints; the German artist is a leading master of portrait caricature and "pop realism". The impression is a screenprint of the kind used across his print series, in which fine-art printing is combined with stencil-worked colour. Krüger's manner unites Old-Master painterly culture with caricature and pop aesthetics, and his imagery often carries an ironic, faintly surreal charge. The title evokes the motif of sleep and a somnambulant state.
