Azov City-3

Size: 150 × 200 cm.

A work from the painterly cycle 'Azov-City' (2008) by the Rostov artist Irina Grabkova. The series takes its name from Russia's first gambling zone, 'Azov-City', approved in 2007 and begun in 2008 on the border of the Azov district of Rostov Region and Krasnodar Krai. The large format and the topical regional subject tie the cycle to the local artistic and social context of the late 2000s.
