Teacher

Technique: Canvas, oil.
Size: 70 × 100 cm.

The painting “Teacher” from the series “Without Masks”, which critics deservedly compare with Francisco Goya’s series “Los Caprichos”. The success of the series owes much to the media resonance of the images the artist creates. Exploring the fears and masks behind which people hide, the artist masterfully revealed the theme of the “dark side” of the human soul and expressed it in a form simple and clear to the viewer. Using classical composition and rich colour, Andrey Vishnevsky made a bright and memorable image out of every painting.
