Ghosts of My Parents' House

Year:2013

In selections:Russian painting, Contemporary painting

1 700 $

Technique: Canvas, oil.
Size: 86 × 130 cm.

A work by Alexander Chursin in a personal, memorial register: the title refers to the artist's parental home and the memories bound up with it. The elongated vertical format brings the image close to an intimate, almost icon-like composition. As elsewhere in his practice, the subject is realized through classical oil painting in the Old Master technique.
