Nina Aleksandrovna Malysheva (1914-1983) – Soviet porcelain sculptor. She worked at the Dulyovo Porcelain Factory, where complex multi-figure sculptures on the themes of childhood and happy motherhood, classical ballet and dance were created. She paid great attention to detail. Among her best-known sculptures are “Manicure”, “Lezginka”, “Telephone Conversation”, “Girl with Hens”. The universally known “Snow Maiden” was issued as a souvenir item (together with other works) for the 6th World Festival of Youth and Students, held in Moscow in 1957. It was this figurine that was subsequently reproduced many times. Height 15 cm. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks.
