About the artist

An artist of the Russian-French school, a representative of the School of Paris. Born in Odessa, where he began his studies, he settled in Paris from the 1910s. He entered the artistic circle of Montparnasse and was closely tied to the émigré milieu. He painted restrained, subtly constructed landscapes, still lifes and portraits, uniting French painterly culture with a Russian foundation. A participant in the Paris salons; his works are in private collections in France and Russia. The foundation’s catalogue holds one work.
