"The Unstoppable Spirit…" is a work by Taganrog-based artist Svetlana Pesetskaya (b. 1968), a member of the Union of Artists of Russia who works in painting, batik and body art. It is executed as a lightbox: the image is revealed through internal illumination, setting the scene within a luminous field. The extended, poetic title frames an allegorical motif – a restless spirit set against the bodily realm – in keeping with the artist's imagery poised between reality and fantasy.
