"Russian Dance" is a small-scale porcelain figure on the theme of folk dance, one of the common subjects in Soviet decorative porcelain of the mid-twentieth century. The dancer is rendered in painting with gilding, characteristic of the leading Soviet porcelain factories of the period. The composition conveys the movement and the festive ornament of the costume typical of intimate genre sculpture. The author of the model has not been established.
