A marine painting by the Rostov-on-Don artist Anton Sukhorukov (b. 1975), a graduate of the Grekov Art College and of the Art and Graphics Faculty of the Southern Federal University, and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. The artist works chiefly in the marine genre, continuing the traditions of the Russian realist school; this view of surf along the Crimean shore belongs to that strand of his work. Executed in oil, the scene rests on the rendering of the breaking wave and the light-filled atmosphere of the coast.
